Head of Compliance
Responsible for overseeing and managing compliance within the organization, ensuring that the company and its employees are complying with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
• Ensure firms Business Units & functions comply with UAE Central Bank, SCA, all the UAE local & Federal Government Authorities’ regulatory & compliance requirements.
• Build an effective and collaborative working relationship with the regulators and act as a central point of contact for all the correspondences & examinations.
• Proactively monitor changes/developments in the regional and international regulation and cascade to business departments and senior management.
• Find regulatory solutions to regulatory challenges on a timely basis. Anticipate, assess and communicate key regulatory risk trends in-country and drive the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation control measures.
• Provides guidance on proper application and interpretation of laws, regulations and policies applicable to the industry and the country.
• Assists in overseeing relevant administration and licensing as required by the local regulatory authorities
• Keeping compliance documentation up-to-date, including the compliance manual and all related policies and procedures.
• Act as a control for the businesses departments. Consult/support team members regarding compliance by designing, developing & improving processes.
• Maintain Regulatory Compliance Reports/Reviews and report any compliance breaches by the staff to the management.
• Assist in preparing for internal audits and regulatory visits, including collation of data, testing, raising awareness etc.
• Responding to internal and external investigations, queries and controls as the principal point of contact.
• Deal with non-routine correspondence to the Regulators (e.g. product approvals, notifications, license applications/variations).
• Ensuring adequate systems, controls and procedures are fully documented and in place to cover all areas of the business. Ensuring all customer complaints are logged, reviewed and actioned within a timely manner.
• Develop and manage relationships with principals and ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of client’s information and data.
• Developing, coordinating, and participating in a multifaceted educational and training program that focuses on the elements of the compliance program, and seeks to ensure that all appropriate employees and management are knowledgeable of, and comply with, pertinent laws and regulations.
The Candidate – successful applicant will ideally have the following skills
Work Experience
o Relevant experience in financial services function (5+ years), with a strong Compliance background in Financial Markets (FM) / investment banking environment.
Technical Knowledge
o A core grasp of and practical experience with financial markets products (notably foreign exchange, commodities and derivatives) and the sales and transactional activities of the FM business, including the business operating models and key risks.
o Possesses core technical knowledge in laws and regulations applicable to FM businesses.
o Track record of good judgment enabling the provision of sound advice in difficult areas of law, regulation and practice and the proactive management of legal, regulatory and reputational risks.
o Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, Internal Controls & Audit
o Exposure to a variety of cross border situations would be beneficial
Compliance skills
o Professional certificates in Regional and Global Compliance
o Rich experience in Compliance and Regulatory Risk Management in an advisory capacity.
o Knowledge in risk identification, risk assessment, controls development, training, monitoring and reporting.
Analytical skills
o Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
o Core problem solving and solution finding skills.
o Ability to carry out data mining and trend analysis.
Communications skills
o Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to foster a collaborative working relationship with multiple functional areas.
o Ability to participate in discussions around compliance problems with relevant stakeholders.
o Ability to assist in driving the compliance agenda with senior business leaders.
o High level Arabic proficiency preferred

Financial Analyst
Key Responsibilities
• Identifying training needs and requirements of individuals and group
• Train and mentor company staff related to Professional Certifications & Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programs
• Specialized in training individuals & group with regards to forex, stocks, commodities, CFDs, futures, options, factors affecting markets, risk management, behavioral finance
• Thorough knowledge of Financial Analysis, Technical Analysis, Fundamental Analysis, Risk Management, Money Management and other Trading/ Investing strategies
• Preparing and developing instructional training material and aids such as handbooks, visual aids, PowerPoint tutorials, demonstration models, and supporting training reference documentation
• Develop dynamic strategies to educate and train
• Abreast with the latest market trends and development in client & staff training
• Ability to analyze markets, individual financial products and generate comprehensive reports and design education materials
